What are cookies?
In the HTTP protocol, a cookie refers to a small amount of data that a web server sends to a browser that stores it on a user’s computer. Each time you visit the same server, the browser then sends this data back to the server.
Cookies are usually used to distinguish individual users, they store user preferences, information about the visitor, such as which pages he visits, what information he searches for or how often he visits the given website.
However, this information can also be obtained without cookies, so its use cannot be considered particularly dangerous. Therefore, cookies do not pose a danger to your computer. Nevertheless, they can be a risk to privacy.

Manage cookies in the browser
You can set a cookie policy in your browser comprehensively for all websites and all cookies. We strongly recommend that you have given your consent to anyone in the toolbar or not. The procedure differs for each browser:
Clear, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome >>
Safari 9 (El Capitan): Manage cookies and website data >>
Microsoft Edge and Privacy: Frequently Asked Questions >>
For your website to work properly, we recommend selecting “Enable local data settings (recommended)” (for Chrome, by analogy in other browsers).
To help protect your privacy, select the “Block third-party cookies and website data” option. You can also set up exceptions, such as for Google Analytics, to give website operators feedback from their visitors, or for social networks to make their plugins work for you.
It is likely that you have dozens or hundreds of cookies in your browser, some even valid for 20 years, which can still send data. Checking the “Block third-party cookies” option will not affect them, you will need to delete them either selectively or all of them.
We also recommend clicking “Do Not Track” if your browser supports it.
All these settings need to be made for each browser and person (profile) separately. Browsers on mobile devices usually do not store cookies.
